【釋義】 龍,是中華民族共同的原始圖騰,是中華民族文明古國的歷史記憶。
【起源】 1. 出自黃帝之臣龍行。據《姓氏錄源》及《竹書紀年》所載,黃帝臣有龍行,黃帝居有熊(今河南新鄭),是為龍氏。 2. 商代甲骨文中有龍方,為商方國。 3. 帝舜有個大臣叫龍,任納言(官名,職責是宣達帝命),史稱「納言龍」,後為龍氏。 4. 黃帝後代飂叔安之子董父,熟悉龍的習性,為帝舜馴養龍,被舜任為「豢龍氏」,後為龍氏。 5. 帝堯後裔劉累,曾經跟豢龍氏學過馴化龍的本領,被夏帝孔甲賜姓為「御龍氏」,後簡為「龍」氏。

Official of the Yellow Emperor: According to the Origin of Surnames and the Bamboo Annals, Long Xing was a minister under the Yellow Emperor (who resided in Youxiong, modern-day Xinzheng, Henan). This is considered the earliest branch of the Long clan. 2. State of Longfang: Oracle bone inscriptions from the Shang Dynasty mention "Longfang," an ancient state affiliated with the Shang. 3. Official under Emperor Shun: A minister named Long served under Emperor Shun as a Nayan (an official responsible for proclaiming imperial decrees). His descendants adopted his name as their surname. 4. The Dragon Raiser (Huanlong Shi): Dong Fu, a descendant of the Yellow Emperor, was an expert in the habits of dragons. He raised dragons for Emperor Shun and was bestowed the title Huanlong Shi (The Clan that Raises Dragons), which later became the Long surname. 5. The Dragon Tamer (Yulong Shi): Liu Lei, a descendant of Emperor Yao, learned the art of dragon taming from the Huanlong clan. The Xia Emperor Kongjia bestowed upon him the surname Yulong Shi (The Clan that Drives Dragons), later simplified to Long.
