【释义】曲的本义是蚕箔。古人养蚕用的器具，多由竹制成，像筷子或席子，也叫蚕帘。

【起源】出自姬姓。周武王将第三个儿子叔虞封在晋地，叔虞的第八代孙子即春秋晋国的晋穆侯，晋穆侯又封其少子成师于曲沃那人（今山西省闻喜县东北），成师的支孙就以封地名作为了姓氏，为曲沃氏。后改为单姓曲。
