2. From an Ancestor's Name (State of Zheng): During the Spring and Autumn period, there was a Grand Official (Dafu) in the State of Zheng named Si Cheng. His descendants adopted his name as their family name.

3. From an Ancestor's Name (State of Jin): During the Spring and Autumn period, a nobleman of the State of Jin named Shu Hu was enfeoffed in Qie, where he established the State of Qie. Under him was a minister (Qingshi) named Si Chen. His descendants subsequently adopted the surname Si.
