鲁氏图腾释义

【释义】鲁、卤同音通用。甲骨文金文中的鲁字皆是上为鱼、下为盆。表示处置储存备用之义。鲁的本义是把鱼用卤盐腌晒后盛于鱼盆中储存。

【起源】出自姬姓，姬旦之后，以国为氏。周武王封其弟周公旦之子伯禽于鲁国（今山东曲阜）。鲁国从周公开始，到顷公传了三十多代，由于鲁国固守周的旧制度，春秋以后果然逐渐衰落了。到了战国（公元前256年），被楚国的考烈王灭掉。被迫迁居下邑（指国都以外的所属城邑）。其后代子孙以国名为姓，即鲁氏。

In Oracle Bone Script and Bronze Script, the character Lu consists of a Fish (鱼) on top and a Basin (皿/盆) below. It depicts the process of preserving and storing food for future use. The original meaning of Lu is to salt and dry fish using brine and then store them in a basin.

【Origins】

1. From the Ji (姬) Surname (Lineage of the Duke of Zhou): The surname originates from the descendants of Ji Dan (the Duke of Zhou). After King Wu of Zhou overthrew the Shang Dynasty, he enfeoffed Bo Qin, the son of his brother the Duke of Zhou, in the State of Lu (present-day Qufu, Shandong).

2. The Fall of the State: The State of Lu passed through more than thirty generations from the Duke of Zhou to Duke Qing. Because Lu strictly adhered to the old systems of the Zhou Dynasty, it gradually declined during the Spring and Autumn period. In 256 BC (the Warring States period), it was finally annexed by King Kaolie of the State of Chu.

3. Adoption of the Surname: Following the fall of their nation, the people were forced to relocate to subordinate cities (Xiayi). The royal descendants and citizens adopted the name of their state, Lu, as their surname to preserve their identity.
