Naming After the Ancestor: Kan (Yue Fu) had a son named Qing Fu Ze, who in turn had a son named Yi Fu Xu. Following the tradition of using an ancestor's courtesy name as a family name, Yi Fu Xu adopted his grandfather's courtesy name, "Yue Fu," to establish the Yue clan.
