【Origin】 The surname originates from the Peng (彭) surname. Jian, the third son of Luzhong (a descendant of Emperor Zhuanxu), was surnamed Peng and enfeoffed in Dapeng (modern-day Tongshan, Jiangsu). His descendant, Yun, served as a high official (Shangshi) in the Quanfu (Office of Currency/Treasury) during the Zhou Dynasty. "Quan" (泉, meaning spring/currency) was also written as "Qian" (钱). Descendants adopted the official title as their surname, resulting in surnames like Qian (钱) and Quan (泉). Over time, due to the identical pronunciation, the surname evolved into the current Quan (全).
